The Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague 8 presents its
9th annual International Conference on
HOSPITALITY, TOURISM AND EDUCATION
The Institute of Hospitality Management will be holding its 9th annual International Scientific Conference on Hospitality, Tourism and Education. The Conference will be held on Wednesday 18 October 2017 from 09:30 a.m. in the large auditorium of our school. As in previous years, we expect the participation of representatives of the state administration, research institutions and academical sphere.
The Conference focuses on current trends and practical experience in the fields of Hotel Management, Gastronomy and Tourism. The aim of the Conference is to present new knowledge in the theory and practice in the field of services, to specify developmental trends, establish and reinforce personal contacts. The main theme of the plenary session is Employees as a key factor for success in hospitality and gastronomy.
MVDr. Pavel Bělobrádek, Ph.D., MPA, Vice-Chairman of the Czech government for Science, Research and Innovations, Ing. Karla Šlechtová, Minister for Local Development and Ing. Adriana Krnáčová, MBA, Mayor of Prague have been asked to act as patrons of the Conference.
The Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism, The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants and The Czech Tourist Authority-CzechTourism are professional partners of the Conference.
The programme of the Conference is divided into two plenary sessions, one of them to be held as a panel discussion. Lectures will be delivered by representatives of ministries, research institutions and colleges, as well as by representatives of significant hotels and providers of travel and tourism services. The afternoon conference part will be held in sections according to topic:
