Visit our partner school I.E.S. Universidad Laboral in Albacete

In September of this year our Assistant Professor, Christine McConnell, visited our partner school I.E.S. Universidad Laboral in Albacete, Spain. As part of the Erasmus Programme for Teachers she went to guest lecture students studying Hospitality Management on the topic of Sustainable Tourism. While there she also participated in an English Language class and met some of the youngest students at the school who were studying Biology. She was warmly welcomed by everyone and was looked after by M. Luz Ortega Simón (Erasmus Co-ordinator) who also recently visited our Institute as part of the Erasmus programme. While on a tour of the school one student invited Christine to try the delicious Spanish Tortilla (tortilla española) he had made, which is a traditional Spanish dish. It was excellent. The trip was a success and has further strengthened our ties with our partner school.
