Covid-19

The hygienic station of the City of Prague (in Czech -HSHMP) issued an expert opinion on the return of students from the areas where the spread of corona virus Covid-19 infection, especially from Italy, has been proven. The list of areas is published at https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/areas-presumed-community-transmission-2019-ncov.

In the case of returning students from these areas, the extent of the anti-epidemic measures is decided by the HSHMP branch, locally competent according to the school's seat, after assessing the character of the student's stay in the affected area. Students staying only in Italy's ski resorts as of February 28, 2020 are not rated as risky due to the reduction of school attendance. If the HSHMP assesses a student's residency at risk, the student will not attend school for 14 days after returning from the affected area, which is the maximum incubation period of the disease. These students will not stay in common areas of schools, such as study rooms and libraries. It will minimize contact with others. The student will monitor his/her condition and contact HSHMP 773 782 856 if there occur some changes.

No emergency measures have been issued by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic concerning accommodation and catering facilities until now.
