Recommendation what to do in case of contact with an infected person or illness
- If I have symptoms of covid-19 (especially cough, fever, muscle and joint pain), I stay at home, take the phone, and contact immediately my doctor, who will decide what to do next. I also realize that I am not allowed to enter the school building with symptoms (so I will not go to the library or "just" for coffee).
- I received a positive PCR test result. First, I'll calm down. It is a well-known fact that most situations are better managed calmly. I also received all the necessary information in an SMS message and I will respect that. It will be appropriate to prepare a so-called self-tracing form (https://covidlab.cz/sebereportovani/). I will contact those who have been in close contact with me.
- A friend of mine or a colleague sent me a message that he/she had been ordered to isolate. It is important whether I am a so-called epidemiologically significant contact (contact at a distance of less than 1.5 meters without proper nose and mouth protection; in the last five days) or not. If so, generally speaking, those with a completed vaccination do not automatically stay in quarantine if they do not have symptoms. Those who are not vaccinated basically have to. However, the definition of this contact and the rules for setting quarantine often change, so it is better to consult a doctor or ask on the line 1221.
- The hygiene station or the doctor ordered me to quarantine. Even in this case, there is no need to panic. Quarantine is a preventive measure, but it can play a significant role today. I respect the ordered quarantine, I am reasonable and I realize that violating the quarantine measures can have unpleasant effects on my surroundings and, as a result, on me.
- If I am in isolation or quarantine for any of the above reasons, I think of my health first. There is nothing more important. Employees contact the employer and their superior, who decides on the possibility of working from home. Students, because they are polite, contact their study assistant so that we can inform the persons concerned at school.
Please respect all currently valid measures. Let's act responsibly and let’s not expose ourselves or our surroundings to unnecessary risk.
But let's keep our common sense and proper approach, calmness and balance.
