With the awarding of the Extended University Charter in 2007, IHM gained the possibility to send its students to companies in EU countries abroad for professional work experience. In accordance with the Lisbon strategy, the school aims to increase student mobility at partner schools abroad, facilitate internships in foreign companies, and give them a competitive edge on the domestic and international job markets. There is no age limit for the work stays abroad and both full and part-time students may take advantage of these international internships.
As with study stays abroad, ERASMUS internships are open to students from EU member states, those with permanent residence in the Czech Republic or another member state, and those with refugee status.
Internships that are undertaken within the framework of the ERASMUS program are included in the Diploma Supplement.
The first students participated in work stays abroad at hotels in Greece and Spain during the 2007/2008 academic year.
