The Institute of Hospitality Management offers lifelong learning courses divided into several categories. Firstly are courses from the field of hotels and gastronomy that are intended mainly for managers and upper-level employees of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and operators, etc.

The aim of these courses is to broaden and deepen qualifications in the fields in which these persons work. Graduates of these courses will be awarded a certificate issued by IHM and the corresponding professional associations verifying the level of skill or knowledge gained. Most courses are evaluated under ECTS and credits may be applicable toward student credit requirements for those who then begin study in a degree program at IHM. Those interested in a change of field or in requalification may also be interested in professional courses in the fields of hospitality or gastronomy. The second category is managerial courses focusing on the specifics of administration in certain fields or specializations. In addition to economic guides for owners and operators of small restaurants and accommodation establishments, there are courses for hotel safety administrators, golf resort managers, or HR managers. IHM also offers courses in the field of real estate for owners and their administrators (including outsourced), as well as for employees of building companies and developers, and local and regional government institutions.

Another notable category in the LLP is the pedagogical program accredited in accordance with law 563/2004 sb. regarding pedagogical workers. Graduates of these courses will be qualified to teach professional subjects in secondary schools (provided that they also hold a relevant university degree), and also lead work experience programs for secondary and vocational school students in hotels and restaurants (the center for professional preparation).

Courses in language instruction are certainly an integral part of the programs at IHM. In addition to general language courses at various skill levels and for various groups (seniors, mothers on maternity leave, the unemployed…), we also offer professional language courses intended for those holding various positions in their companies, especially hotels. In addition, there are also specialized courses focusing on issues in creating a menu in a foreign language or examining the cultural habits of different nationalities.

As well as offering instruction in major languages such as English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and others, IHM is able to arrange Czech language courses for entrepreneurs, employees, and even employees or business partners from destinations frequently visited by tourists.
